A big order for ATI Digital Audio for the upcoming Olympics.
The company said it shipped 58 of its DSA106-XLR 1X6 Digital Audio Distribution Amplifiers and 15 ADAC-2 Simultaneous A/D, D/A and Sample Rate Converters for use in Beijing. The summer Olympics are in August.
ATI describes itself as the world’s largest supplier of analog and digital distribution amplifiers. It said the DSA106-XLR was chosen because it handles Dolby E encoded audio, which permits distribution of surround and multichannel audio via two-channel digital postproduction facilities.
