American University has answered the wrongful-termination lawsuit recently filed in the District of Columbia’s Circuit Court by former station general manager Susan Clampitt. The university fired Clampitt from her post as WAMU(FM) general manager last fall after reports of financial problems surfaced.
According to the Washington Times, The university claims in its response the firing was based on “legitimate business factors.”
Clampitt seeks more than $12 million in damages.
