Axia, AudioScience to Partner

Axia inked AudioScience as a partner for its Livewire IP-Audio standard.
AudioScience, which makes broadcast audio cards, will offer products that provide direct audio and data transfer between Livewire networks and third-party PC-based digital audio delivery systems and workstations.
Axia says its equipment lets broadcasters build audio networks using standard switched Ethernet. The system includes a line of microphone, analog line and AES/EBU “audio nodes” and DSP mix engines, as well as the Element Modular Control Surface and SmartSurface Studio Control Surface.
