Axia Audio is shipping iProbe, a network maintenance and diagnostics suite that the company says eases managing, updating and remote controlling Axia IP-Audio networks.
The software gives Axia administrators information about and control over their IP-Audio networks. It manages and maintains groups of audio devices from a single control panel, running from a PC connected to the Axia network. It queries audio devices on the network, compiling information about IP addresses and software versions.
Highlights include an auto-documentation feature that records configuration settings for each networked Axia device; an auto-update module that finds the software version of connected devices, and acquires and uploads new versions automatically; and an organizer tool that allows gathering of Axia Audio Nodes into logical groups for single-point administration of group settings.
iProbe also offers a firmware manager that facilitates the obtaining of software updates; and a backup utility that saves individual device configurations for easy restore.
