Spanish network-services provider Axión has launched a DRM España Web site dedicated to Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) promotional activities in Spain.

Several Spanish members of DRM participated in the creation of the site, which is an extension of the main DRM Consortium portal.

Axión developed the site as a key resource for all those seeking information in Spanish about DRM. Content includes not only general information about the DRM system but also details of the commercial roll-out of DRM in Spain.

Visitors can listen to DRM digital sound and compare it with analog sound, view the latest developments on DRM receivers and download the DRM live, on-air broadcast schedule.

During 2007, Axión took part in DRM tests with national commercial network Cadena SER, the UPV/EHU university in the Basque Country and equipment supplier Vimesa.

In cooperation with Cadena COPE and the Universidade de Vigo in Galicia, Axión initiated simulcast DRM broadcasts in Zamora, Spain.

Axión is a subsidiary of French DRM Member TDF.
