Bayliss Foundation Finalizes Restructuring

Board of directors slims down

The John Bayliss Foundation recently announced an alliance with the Broadcast Education Association.

As part of that new arrangement, it has undergone a reorganization of its board of directors. That reorganization has been completed.

Changes include a smaller board and new officers. According to a release from Patrick Communications, which will handle administrative duties in the new arrangement, Larry Patrick becomes the new chairman; Dave Kennedy of FlyCast serves as treasurer; and Bishop Cheen of Wells Fargo serves as secretary of the foundation.

The Bayliss Foundation corporate offices are moving from California to Maryland (home of Patrick Communications).

The foundation provides scholarships to deserving college students interested in a career in radio. According to the release, 345 students have been awarded over $1.2 million in scholarships.
