Among the many news items released during the busy NAB show last week, Dielectric announced that the BBC awarded the company a $9 million contract.
The turnkey contract “includes more than 24 high-power shortwave transmitting antenna systems for one of the BBC World Service’s major transmitting stations,” Dielectric stated.
“The contract calls for the removal of the existing antennas at the BBC station and replacement with Dielectric’s TCI brand modern high-power shortwave antennas. Dielectric also has responsibility for project management, design, provision of civil works, installation, commissioning and testing of the antennas.”
