BBC Learning English Adds Frankenstein

Series teaches grammar using dialogue

The BBC Learning English website is launching as an audio-drama series based on Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein. The 10-part weekly series starts Dec. 12, in addition to the other free content available on the website.

Each episode covers a specific area of grammar, which is illustrated through the drama’s dialogue. Additional grammar and vocabulary support is available in a downloadable script. It is produced by Graciela Damiano, with Web illustrations by Carolina Thwaites-Lastra, the audio-drama on bbclearningenglish.com is performed by Will Harrison-Wallace (the Creature) and Peter Kenny (Dr. Viktor Frankenstein).

The multilingual website features Chinese, Persian, Russian and Spanish versions, and more languages will be added over the coming months.

BBC Learning English is part of BBC World Service.
