The Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association is changing its name.
It will now call itself the Media Financial Management Association.
The organization, based in Illinois, held its annual conference in Dallas this month.
It provides services and products for financial and business people in TV, radio and cable, but says it is changing its name in response to the expansion of established media into new media business lines, and the opportunity to extend its services to new media companies.
Its updated mission statement: “To be the premier source of education, networking, information and signature products to meet the diverse needs of financial and business professionals in the media industry.”
The president/CEO is Mary Collins.
