BE Appoints VP Global Sales

Michael Burgett has joined Broadcast Electronics as vice president of global sales, a new position.
Effective Sept. 5, Burgett will oversee market delivery of studio and RF product lines. He has approximately 15 years in high-tech sales management.
President John Pedlow said the hire is important as the company expands to new overseas markets. The appointment comes as the company is integrating digital media with RF transmission activities, and on-air studio with over-the-Internet and HD Radio activities.
In his previous position with an IT software firm servicing Fortune 500 companies, Burgett developed new product markets and expanded his company’s global market share, BE said.
