Studio automation and RF systems provider Broadcast Electronics has promoted Don Backus to eastern region sales manager.
In his new role, Backus will serve customers in the eastern U.S. as the representative of the company’s RF and studio lines, which include AudioVAULT, Commotion and The Radio Experience studio brands as well as BE’s AM, FM and HD Radio transmitter lines. He will report to Tom Beck, director of sales and RF product development.
Backus previously served as Commotion’s vice president of global market development. He also spent several years at ENCO Systems in Michigan.
He brings 40 years of broadcast experience to his new role, in addition to serving as a director on the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation. His hands-on experience in both radio and advertising will benefit clients.
