Broadcast Electronics will air what it says is the first public demo of HD Radio multicasting in Europe at IBC2005. International broadcaster show attendees will hear several program channels on one digital frequency and see text readouts on the HD Radio receivers.
BE’s IDi 20 Data Importer, used to split the bandwidth for multicasting, is being used in the demo as well as its XPi 10 Data Exporter for multiplexing synchronous text and audio.
