Beasley CEO Goes on Medical Leave of Absence

The Beasley Broadcast Group has announced that George E. Beasley, the company’s CEO, will be on a medical leave of absence effective immediately.

The Beasley Broadcast Group has announced that George E. Beasley, the company’s CEO, will be on a medical leave of absence effective immediately. Caroline Beasley, executive vice president/chief financial officer, has been named interim CEO. George Beasley will still serve as chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

Caroline Beasley, the daughter of George Beasley, has been with the company since 1983, and has served as its EVP, CFO, treasurer and secretary since 1994. Ms. Beasley also serves on the Board of Directors for the NAB and of Broadcast Music, Inc.

In a statement, Ms. Beasley said that the company will not comment on Mr. Beasley’s condition at this time.

The Beasley Broadcast Group was founded in 1961 and owns and operates 52 stations in 12 markets across the U.S.
