Beasley Closes on Its Pricey Vegas FM Translator

Company finishes acquisition from Southern Nevada Educational Broadcasters

Beasley Media Group has closed on its purchase of an FM translator signal in Las Vegas.

It acquires K268CS from Southern Nevada Educational Broadcasters for $700,000 in a purchase announced by Bob Heymann of Media Services Group, the broker who represented Beasley.

The two organizations reached the sale agreement last summer, at which time they told the Federal Communications Commission that Beasley intends to rebroadcast the HD2 signal of its station KCYE(FM). Heymann said at the time that BIA/Kelsey data indicates this would be the third highest cash price ever paid for an FM translator.

K268CS airs at 101.5 MHz and had been associated with KKVV(AM).

Robert Branch represented the seller.
