Beasley-owned WRDW(FM) here in Philadelphia is multicasting its digital signal to create 96.5 – HD2. The commercial-free music channel showcases new dance music and remixes of the Top 40 records. Those who have the new HD Radios with the ability to decode multicast signals can tune to “96.5-HD2”; those who haven’t can listen on www.wired965.com.
“By offering them two complementary sources for the hottest dance music in Philadelphia, we fully expect our listeners to become early adapters of this new technology,” said WRDW GM Lynn Bruder.
Beasley also owns WXTU(FM), WTMR(AM) and WWDB(AM) in Philadelphia.
