Beasley Focuses Online Efforts

Beasley is getting more serious about the Internet.
The company has set up an interactive division that encompass the company’s interactive initiatives and programs and is headed by Vice President Kathleen McCarten-Bricketto, who reports to President/COO Bruce Beasley. He stated, “Just as we’ve supported HD Radio technology, we are equally enthusiastic about the emerging Interactive platform.”
The broadcast owner said this is its “first corporate-wide foray into an increasingly Internet-centric marketplace. This division will provide innovative local and national sales opportunities for advertisers and, by streaming content, will widen the listening audience of Beasley Broadcast Group’s on-air stations.”
The division also will create a conceptual framework for day-to-day operations of Web-based activities, “develop station Web sites and target listeners and new avenues of revenue through database development.”
McCarten-Bricketto has been with the company for seven years as Internet sales manager for two stations in Miami.
