Beasley Media Group announced that Jeff Zito is moving from his position as program director at WRXK(FM)/K-Rock in Fort Myers, Fla., to his new role as program director at WBRN(FM)/98.7 No Rules Rock in Tampa, Fla.
Zito will start working as WBRN’s program director on June 20.
“Jeff Zito is a perfect fit for 98.7 No Rules Rock,” said Beasley’s Tampa Operations Manager Tee Gentry. “He has proven himself as a winning PD at 96 K-Rock with Beasley in Fort Myers and we are excited to have him here in Tampa Bay.”
Florida radio pro Zito launched his career in 1996. He worked at several radio stations before he landed jobs in Fort Myers, where he hosted mornings at WJBX(AM) as half of the “Zito and Garrett” show. He subsequently moved over to sister station WRXK.
“Now, I’m ready to move on up the coast to Beasley’s Tampa cluster to work for WBRN and 98.7 No Rules Rock,” said Zito.
“We are all very happy for Jeff Zito,” said Beasley’s Fort Myers Operations Manager Adam Star. “He’s made a significant impact as PD of WRXK and he’ll be missed.”
Currently, Beasley is searching for a program director to lead WRXK, according to the announcement.
