Beasley Names Recipients of GM, PD of the Year Awards

Large- and mid-size market radio broadcaster Beasley Broadcast Group selected Joe Bell of Miami’s WKIS(FM) “Kiss Country” as the 2004 General Manager of the Year, Kid Curry of Miami’s WPOW(FM) “Power 96” as Program Director of the Year and Heather Monahan as Sales Manager of the Year for her work in the Fort Myers market.
Additionally, WRXK(FM) “K-Rock,” managed by Brad Beasley, was awarded Radio Station of the Year. The awards were presented this past weekend at Beasley’s annual general manager’s meeting in New Orleans.
The General Manager of the Year award is based on the overall operation of the station or stations under his or her management. The Station of the Year is based on the growth and success of a station. Beasley periodically recognizes the efforts of its stations’ programming and sales teams by selecting a Program Director and Sales Manager of the Year.
