Beasley to Acquire 6 Centennial Stations

Beasley Broadcast Group says it will enter the New Orleans and Las Vegas markets with acquisitions of three stations in each market. The seller is Centennial Broadcasting Group.
The price of the six stations will be approximately $138 million. KKLZ(FM), KSTJ(FM) and KJUL(FM) in Las Vegas and WRNO-FM, KMEZ(FM) and WBYU(AM) in New Orleans are the stations Beasley will acquire in the deal, which is expected to close in the 4th quarter this year.
Additionally, Allen Shaw, Beasley’s president and CEO will join Beasley as vice chairman and co-chief operating officer when the transaction closes.
The combined stations generated $15 million in 1999.
