From “basic” to “complete,” Belar’s soon-to-be shipping FMCS-1 claims to be the “FM Solution.” It even says so in the front panel.
Designed to be available in a basic model or a more feature-filled model, the basic FMCS-1 [PDF] handles FM RF carrier measurements, AM and Sync AM noise measurements, variable BW digital IF and composite filtering, RDS injection/phase and full data decoding, peak and RMS measurements. The RF input is frequency agile.
The “complete” unit adds items such as a spectrum analyzer for RF, composite and FFT analysis and dual SCA decoders.
An RJ-45 connector links the FMCS-1 to the Internet for remote monitoring. A headphone output allows for local monitoring.
