Belden is promoting a line of water-resistant cables suitable for indoor, outdoor and direct burial installations.
The line of New Generation Waterdog Cables includes paired, multi-conductor and coaxial cables that the company says meet the water-resistant standards set by UL 444, UL 13, and the TIA 455-82B Water Filtration Test.
Uses include building management systems to be connected from building to building or from remote surveillance camera sites to indoor security monitors. Others are power-limited fire alarm circuits, audio and intercom systems, CCTV surveillance, CATV and distributed video, background music and others.
