BFA Makes Plea for Donations

Lombardo and Foreman remain broadcasters of fund’s importance

Inspired by the spirit of Christmas, the Broadcasters Foundation of America has issued its annual call for donations.

The Guardian Fund, which is reserved to support broadcasters and families in times of extreme need, has helped over 1,000 radio and television professionals and their families since the 501(c)3 charity’s inception. Additionally, the organization plans to distribute over one million dollars in aid to broadcasters in 2014.

To help raise the funds necessary to achieve this goal, Chairman Phil Lombardo and Vice Chair Richard Foreman have distributed a letter requesting tax-deductible donations, emphasizing the importance of even a $50 gift. All major gifts will be acknowledged in the annual report.

Additionally, those interested may speak with President Jim Thompson and Vice President Peter Doyle to learn more about the group’s humanitarian efforts.
