Orban/Circuit Research Labs said it sold 105 Optimod-FM 2200D audio processors and 37 Optimod-AM 9200D audio processors to Romania’s state-owned broadcast organization, which purchased the equipment earlier this year through Harris Corp.
The order was part of a larger $85 million contract for broadcasting equipment issued to Harris. The equipment is to be delivered over three years and be used to help upgrade the nation’s broadcast infrastructure.
Orban/CRL Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Phillip T. Zeni, Sr. said, “As Eastern European broadcast outlets continue to modernize, this market has become a growing segment of our business.”
The processors are to be installed at transmitter sites throughout the country.
