NPR named correspondent Melissa Block to be co-host of “All Things Considered,” joining Robert Siegel. She will start work in February after returning from maternity leave. Block joined NPR in 1985 and has worked as a producer, editor, director and reporter. She is a former senior producer of ‘ATC.’ NPR began its host search for ATC last winter when Linda Wertheimer became NPR’s first senior national correspondent for NPR News and Noah Adams went on hiatus to write a book about the Wright brothers. A search for a third host position continues.”
