Bloggers might think they’re the “new thing” in the world of media, but they plan conventions like everybody else.
Online talking heads will gather for “the world’s largest blogging conference” this coming week in Las Vegas when the first “Blogworld and New Media Expo” takes place at the convention center.
“The expo will include more than 50 seminars, panel discussions and keynotes from iconic personalities on the leading edge of online technology and Internet-savvy business,” promoters promise.
Mark Cuban will give the closing keynote; he owns the Dallas Mavericks, founded HD.net and has been an ardent online communicator for many years, including his Blog Maverick blog.
Among others speaking are Larry Benet, Jason Shellen, Richard Jalichandra, Jeremy Wright and Leo Laporte.
Other topics are podcasting, video blogging, Internet radio/TV broadcasting and various social media activities.
