BMW to Add Multicast-Capability to New Convertible

BMW North America says multicast-capable HD Radios will be an option on its 2007 3 Series Hardtop Convertible.
The car debuts at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
The HD Radio option will list at $500. In August of 2005, BMW was the first automaker to announce OEM availability of HD Radios – for the 2006 7 Series models. BMW then followed up in November 2005 by extending the HD Radio option to drivers of its 2006 6 Series vehicles. This past June, the company announced that HD Radio would be offered in its 2007 5 Series models.
