
Bob Kernen will join jacAPPS as vice president and chief operating officer for the Detroit mobile applications developer.
“I am excited to be joining jacAPPS and coming back to Motown at a time of such intense creativity and innovation,” Kernen said.
According to a release, Kernen has spent much of his career helping major brands develop and execute their digital strategies.
He served as vice president of product development and data for Sharecare, creating a digital database, mobile applications and a back-end data system. Prior to that, he was the co-founder of GrokMusic, oversaw digital product development for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, developed emerging media platforms for A&E Television Networks and helped develop the digital strategies for Hearst’s Women.com and Microsoft’s Web TV Networks.
