Bold Broadcaster May Have Been a Pirate

Was it a pirate?
According to the CGC Communicator newsletter, an alleged “pirate” was heard on the air the weekend before last, apparently broadcasting from the parking lot of San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium.
“During its broadcasts, station DJs were announcing their exact location and even invited listeners to
come to their booth,” the newsletter reported. “Programming consisted of music, as well as commercial announcements from several advertisers. One report estimated the station’s power to be 20 watts
or more, based on signal coverage.”
It was gone by March 1.
