Bonneville International recently took delivery of two Broadcast Electronics HD Radio FM transmitters, bringing to five the number of HD Radio units ordered by the company. Four HD Radio transmitter systems have been delivered by BE so far.
Chicago stations WTMX(FM) and WDRV(FM) have received FMi-301 and FMi-402 transmitting systems. The stations will operate the transmitters in high-level combined mode at sites in the Sears and AON buildings in Chicago’s downtown.
Bonneville previously completed installation of an FMi-301 transmitter system in a high-level combined mode at KKDV(FM) in San Francisco, which joined Bonneville’s KDFC(FM), using the BE FMi-703, and KOIT(FM) there in digital broadcasting.
Bonneville VP/Engineering Talmage Ball completed tests of a separate antenna concept at KDFC(FM) using BE equipment, the supplier said.
