Borneo’s Kristal FM Chooses Genies

Australian stations add Genies, Merlins and Merlin Plus codecs

Tieline has announced recent sales across its international markets.

Kristal FM of Brunei’s Borneo Island has installed eight Tieline Genie Distribution codecs at the recommendation of system integrator Telesto Broadcast Solutions. The codecs replace old E1-based infrastructure. The Genies were selected due to redundancy and resiliency, said the firm.

Ace Radio Broadcasters in Australia recently also chose Tieline, acquiring five Genie Distribution codecs with WheatNet-IP and four Bridge-IT XTRA codecs. Elsewhere in Australia, Sky Sports purchased 10 Merlins and three Merlin PLUS codecs with WheatNet-IP as well as ISDN modules; and the National Nine Network bought eight Merlin and two Merlin PLUS codecs fitted with ISDN modules.

In other recent sales, Croatian public broadcaster HRT purchased 20 Bridge-IT codecs, 10 Commander G3 field codecs, a Merlin PLUS codec and Report-IT Enterprise smartphone user licenses.
