Bott Appoints Zielonko

St. Louis regional manager knows the area

Christian radio’s Bott Radio Network has announced the appointment of radio broadcast veteran Fred Zielonko as the new St. Louis regional manager of KSIV(AM/FM) 1320 kHz and 91.5 MHz.

Zielonko has 20 years of experience at famed St. Louis news/talk/sports station KMOX(AM) and nine years managing KTRS(AM) in St. Louis and WIBV(FM) in southern Illinois. Zielonko’s wife, Lori, is also a KMOX veteran, as well as a professional voice talent and owner of Tele-Ad.

Originally from Troy, Ill., Fred Zielonko holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University but has lived in St. Louis for 32 years.

BRN’s St. Louis affiliate, in operation for 30 years, includes KSIV 91.5, which operates at 100,000 watts, making it one of the most powerful radio signals in St. Louis. Both KSIV 91.5 and 1320 were named Stations of the Year by the Family Research Council.

Founded half a century ago, in 1962, the Kansas-based BRN has 89 radio stations in 15 states, according to a company statement. Their nationwide audience is approximately 50 million people, BRN said.
