Broadcast Asia 2016 to Cover AoIP, More

21st annual conference will take place from May 31–June 3 in Singapore

Regarded by many as Asia’s largest pro-audio, film and broadcasting industry event, Broadcast Asia 2016 is set to kick off for the 21st time on May 31. Many representatives from the audio side of the industry will be present and are expected to talk about trending topics like audio over IP and the latest developments of MPEG 3D audio.

In addition to dealing with those trending topics, the third day of the conference will see a full track on focusing on radio broadcasting. Specifically, the panel will focus on the implications of updated radio broadcasting regulations and spectrum usage; on-demand streamed music; business aspects of online/mobile radio; and the repositioning of digital radio content to suit listener preferences.

Speakers for this track include Michael Mason, director of ABC radio; Jake Abdullah, CEO of Astro Radio; Lindsay Cornell, principal systems architect, BBC Digital; Milos Pavlovic, sales manager at Broadcast LS Telcom AG; Alexander Zink, senior business development manager digital radio, Fraunhofer IIS; Supinya Klangnarong, commissioner for National Broadcasting and Telecommunication; Mike Powell, senior VP, international operations and chief compliance officer for RCS & Media Monitors; and Joan Warner, VP Asia Pacific and CEO, WorldDAB and Commercial Radio Australia.

On the exhibit floor, a number of companies will be on hand to display the latest in audio editing, audio production, DAB+, HD digital radio, radio automation systems and radio master control. Some of these companies include Aldena Telecomunicazioni, AEQ, DEVA, DHD, Elenos, Mandozzi, Nautel, RFE Broadcast and WinMedia.
