Broadcast Engineering Conference Plans Develop

Cloud technologies, Internet-enabled radio are among the topics

Some plans for the NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference at the spring show have been laid out.

Session topics will include “The Future of Television and Radio Broadcasting,” “Improving HD Radio” and “Internet-Enabled Radio and Television.”

Other sessions are “Cloud-Based Technologies for Broadcast,” “Mission-Critical IT for Broadcast,” “The Impact of Innovative Technologies,” “Emergency Operations and Planning,” “Green Technology” and “The Impact of Consumer Devices.”

On the exclusively TV front, scheduled are “Implementation of Mobile TV,” “TV Loudness and Lip Sync,” “Operational Efficiencies for Television,” “3D TV” and “Improving Mobile TV Reception.” There will be more papers announced.

The conference is co-produced with the SBE and IEEE.
