Dennis FitzSimons, President/COO of Tribune Company and Chairman of the Media Security and Reliability Council, will convene a meeting of MSRC this Friday. MSRC is a federal advisory committee that reports to FCC Chairman Michael Powell, who will also participate in the meeting.
The group will study ways to assure reliability and security of radio, TV and cable signals in the event of another terrorist attack or natural disaster. A similar group already exists for the wired and wireless telephone services.
