Broadcast Warehouse offers a series of RDS encoders with varying feature sets to meet the needs of different stations.
The rackmount RDS1 provides four-button control of basic RDS parameters, transmitting RDS information such as program service name (PS), program identification (PI) and program type (PTY). It also supports decoder information and music/speech flags. No computer is required to set up or operate the encoder.
The RDS2 offers a broader range of features and includes support for scrolling text and timed text lists. It allows the programming of up to 8,000 characters of program service name information and comes complete with Windows software.
The RDS3 is a dynamic RDS encoder with TCP/IP connectivity. It creates an RDS sub-carrier and allows the insertion of static RDS parameters plus EON, CT, PTYN, SLC, PIN, LINK, Paging, IH, TDC, TMC, ODA and EWS. When connected to automation software, automatic display of track information is possible.
The RDS3 has an embedded Web server and is controllable via its 10BaseT/Ethernet port. It also offers scrolling PS functionality.
