The hunt is on for the Broadcasters Foundation of America’s new president.
The foundation confirmed a transition period as it begins a search to replace its current leader, Gordon H. Hastings.
Philip J. Lombardo, chairman of the Broadcasters Foundation of America, will head the search committee, of which Hastings will be a member. No timetable has been set for the transition.
Hastings will continue his involvement with the foundation and will reestablish Hastings Associates, the management firm he formed and operated in the early 1990s until becoming the leader of the Broadcasters Foundation of America in 1994.
Hastings Associates will contract with the foundation to market the Golden Mike Award, Celebrity Golf Tournament and the Offshore Fishing and Family Weekend.
