Broadcast Solutions Electronics (Pty) Ltd. has launched a new 500 W FM transmitter/exciter using LDMOS amplifier technology. LDMOS amplifier technology offers exceptional efficiency in a Class C amplifier, eliminating the need for a large heatsink and cooling.
The EX2-500LD includes a compact 1 kVA switch mode power supply that provides the transmitter with mains input capability of 180 to 265 V AC.
The EX2-500LD includes a stereo encoder with built-in audio limiter. It also includes a digital display of RF forward and reflected power and left and right PPM meters showing the transmitter modulated audio levels.
