Burk Technology says security camera integration is immediately available for its ARC Plus facility remote control.
“We had this up and running at NAB with cameras mounted in the booth. Almost everyone was thinking of copper thieves when they saw it,” said Nathan Burk.
The feature allows broadcasters to use Burk’s AutoPilot Plus software to monitor feeds from remote cameras alongside telemetry from the transmission system, ancillary equipment and facility infrastructure. By adding security monitoring to the platform to the ARC Plus, the company says engineering and central monitoring personnel benefit from greater confidence in site security.
“With the ARC Plus built on an IP foundation, the door is open to lots of applications like this,” said President Peter Burk. “[Because] there’s plenty of room to expand on the core functionality of the system, the upgrade path is virtually built in.”
Burk is offering a free security camera with any ARC Plus order that includes AutoPilot Plus software. The offer is valid until July 30.
