Greater Media in Detroit, home of WCSX(FM), WRIF(FM) and WMGC(FM), is using Burk Technology ARC Plus IP-based remote control systems.
Chief Engineer Michael Kernen supervised the installation of the Plus-X AC-8 for remote 120 V outlet control along with a PlusConnect HZ, a remote interface for a Harris Z transmitter used by WRIF.
The ARC Plus is an IP-based broadcast remote control and monitoring system. Burk says the embedded system requires no dedicated computer for single- and multi-site station automation operations. Modem and dial-in options provide backup connectivity.
