Burk Has Canadian LORAN Contract

Also in Who’s Buying What, Burk Technology said the Canadian Coast Guard purchased GSC3000 equipment for their LORAN transmitters. It said it won a contract to supply remote monitoring and control systems to monitor and control the facilities and ancillary systems at all five Long Range Navigation (LORAN-C) transmitting facilities from their Monitor and Control Station in Saint Anthony, Newfoundland.
Canadian LORAN-C stations at Cape Race, Newfoundland; Comfort Cove, Newfoundland; Fox Harbour, Labrador; Port Hardy, British Columbia; and Williams Lake, British Columbia operate in conjunction with those of the U.S. Coast Guard and provide timing and position information to mariners and aviators.
