Bustos Media has signed a deal to buy KXCL(FM), Lincoln, Calif. for $23 million from First Broadcasting Investment Partners, LLC. The station serves the Sacramento market.
Bustos Media President/CEO Amador Bustos said the company was buying a second full-market signal FM to team up with its KTTA(FM) in that market.
KXCL will continue its “Flash 103.9” 80s format pending FCC approval of the transfer to Bustos Media, expected later this year.
First Broadcasting will continue to own and operate its Sacramento sister station KREL(FM), which recently introduced the “Bob 92.1” format. KREL intends to blend the best of “Bob” and “Flash” over the next few months to continue to attract the 25-49 year old audience, said First Broadcasting.
