Audio processor maker TransLanTech Sound has announced that it is “transferring” its Ariane processor line to processor and transmitter manufacturer BW Broadcast, the contract manufacturer of the Ariane Sequel.
TransLanTech managing director Jim Huste explained. “Now that computers are so robust, audio processing is moving toward software-based designs running on conventional PC platforms, and there is less need to focus on custom-designed hardware. This provides us with much greater flexibility in audio chain design.”
As for the future direction of TransLanTech, he said the company will “focus in the near term on its consulting business, designing and managing studio and transmitter projects. We will now be able to offer a range of products, including the Ariane Sequel, to enable our clients to meet their competitive goals.”
