Radio manufacturer and distributor C. Crane this spring is out with a number of new consumer products.
They include the CC WiFi Internet radio, which provides access to more than 11,500 stations that are simultaneously searchable by location and genre. The compact 6.5 x 3.9 x 3.9 inch footprint fits on desktops to stream audio wirelessly from PC or Mac platforms.
Other C. Crane products making their debut recently include the CCRadio-SW, an AM/FM/SW radio using PLL synthesized tuning. The radio tunes into three SW bands from 1711–29,999 kHz. An integrated twin-coil ferrite antenna enables optimum AM reception; antenna inputs allow for maximum reception of FM and SW.
Additionally, the company displayed a prototype of the CC Witness, a portable AM/FM tuner/recorder and MP3 player it says will be available soon. The unit will be offered with a dock to charge the internal battery; it also features line output.
