New York Festivals has put out a call for entries for the 2013 International Radio Awards.
The organization is sponsoring a competition for the title of 2013 World’s Best Radio Program, in addition to the best in numerous other categories, including:

• Drama
• Promos
• The Arts
• Comedy
• Documentary
• Current Affairs
• Live Sound
• Music Special
• Student Documentary
• Best Legal Reporting
• Social Issues
• Online Religious Program
• Best Interview
• Best Sports Format
• Sports Journalism
• Green Promotion
Enter online to see the full list. Entries must be submitted by March 18 to be considered.
Entries will be judged by a panel composed of program directors, writers, producers, editors, composers and radio experts hailing from 35 different countries.
The committee emphasizes that entries will be judged on their own merits, rather than in direct comparison to other programs. This could result into more than one gold Art Deco microphone trophy being awarded to entrants in the same category.
The ceremony will be held on June 17 at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York City.
