The new X2 from Calrec is an all-digital console designed for self-operated on-air applications.
The X2 is based on Calrec Bluefin technology and is available in six-, 12-, 18- and 24-fader configurations.
Calrec designed the X2 for presenter-operated programs, with only essential controls present as part of the console hardware. For more complex programs, a central screen provides access to routing, configuration, signal processing and signaling functions.
The control surface consists of drop-in panels that are individually cabled to a local console rack. This enables a wide range of layouts to suit different operational practices. A second remote rack houses I/O cards, as well as control and signal processing.
