The NAB isn’t the only broadcast organization that promotes the community service of its members.
The president and CEO of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, Glenn O’Farrell, spoke at CAB’s annual convention. As his U.S. counterpart Eddie Fritts has done often in the past, O’Farrell praised broadcasters in his country for being “actively involved with community partners in pressing local issues and celebrating local achievements.”
The CAB recently surveyed its membership to ask about their community involvement and it plans a year-long
public awareness campaign to launch this week.
The CAB’s 76th Annual Convention is taking place in Vancouver.
