Cape Verde Group Goes With Netia 8

RTC standardizes and streamlines ingest, production, broadcast and archiving

The Netia Radio-Assist 8 suite of digital audio software is being installed at Rádio de Cabo Verde (RCV) in the Cape Verde archipelago off the west coast of Africa.

The RCV installation means that the five Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana (RTC) stations will share a standardized system for ingest, production, broadcast and archiving.

Netia worked with Morocco-based systems integrator EuroCOM and with Radio France Internationale (RFI) on the project, which will help RTC prepare and deliver regional news broadcasts in Portuguese and Criolo to listeners in Praia and Santa Catarina, Santiago; Mindelo, São Vicente; Sal; and Fogo.

“As we consolidate and strengthen digital media workflows at RTC facilities, our primary objectives are to unify, centralize, and harmonize all existing systems and, in turn, to improve production and distribution of content,” said Francisco Monteiro, communication and marketing director for RCV.
