NewBay Media has formed a new Video/Broadcast Group, which will be run by the former CEO of IMAS Publishing.
The company, owner of Radio World and other former IMAS publications since its recent acquisition of IMAS, said this move combines strengths of NewBay’s Videography, DV and Creative Planet with IMAS broadcast titles TV Technology and Radio World.
“Today we are announcing the formation of a new leader in the Video and Broadcast vertical markets,” said NewBay CEO Steve Palm, NewBay’s CEO.
The group is headed by Executive Vice President Carmel King, former CEO of IMAS Publishing.
Other notable posts will be filled by Eric Trabb, VP/Sales and group publisher of the TV and video titles including DV, Videography, Digital Cinematography, Government Video, Television Broadcast and TV Technology.
John Casey, publisher of Radio World, and Raffaella Calabrese, publisher of Radio World International, continue those roles under NewBay. Calabrese also serves as director of NewBay Media Italy Srl, publisher of Broadcast & Production Italy.
Editorial director duties in the group will be shared by Cristina Clapp overseeing video titles and Creative Planet, and T. Carter Ross, handling broadcast titles including TVB and Government Video.
The company also announced sales assignments for various regions and publications.
NewBay also produces the trade shows DV and GV Expo, which continue under Events Director Linda Cohen. NewBay is an affiliate of the Wicks Group of Companies.
