CBA to Host 52nd Annual Convention

The Connecticut Broadcasters Association’s 52nd annual convention will take place Oct. 17 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.

The Connecticut Broadcasters Association’s 52nd annual convention will take place Oct. 17 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.

Session highlights include:

  • “Communicating With Your Engineer,” presented by John Bisset, northeast regional sales manager for Broadcast Electronics and a Radio World contributor. The program covers methods and practices to help broadcast managers improve day-to-day relations with technical staff
  • “FCC Regulation and Government Relations Update,” featuring discussions on the white space interference question, the XM/Sirius merger application, FM translators for AM stations, pirate radio and Internet music streaming fees.
  • “Radio and TV Sales Seminar,” presented by sales trainer Paul Weyland, whose planned topics include why clients do not perceive media sales people as resources, and how to sell more long-term local direct.

Registration must be received by Oct. 12.
