College Broadcasters, Inc. will host its second annual National Student Electronic Media Convention at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Oct. 31–Nov. 2. The convention targets student media such as radio, television and webcasting.
The event is comprised of three days of interactive sessions led by broadcast professionals and student media advisers, and it will finish with the presentation of the National Student Production Awards at a ceremony on Nov. 2. The sessions focus on radio, video and new media, with networking opportunities for both students and advisers.
The inaugural convention was held in October 2012 in Atlanta, and CBI considers it to have been a success because over 95% of its 300 attendees said they would recommend it. Prior to the creation of the NSEMC, the organization coordinated radio, TV and webcasting sessions for the National College Media Convention.
“We are very excited to hold our 2013 convention at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio,” said CBI President Greg Weston. “San Antonio is one of the country’s fastest-growing media markets, and the venue is perfect for an event of our size.”
